On a side note...

The David outside the Uffizi Museum is a copy. The original was moved to the Academia. When I was here in 2001, I took pictures of the Uffizi David and was so inspired… I think I might be an asshole.

  1. I read about the David in Frommers "Florence, Tuscany and Umbria". Let us know if the real one inspires too.

I love the Italian steps! Just happy its not me climbing. Frommers has a map and Im hoping to find your Via. (Have you glanced at their suggestions for food, shopping, etc.?) The librarian suggested I read some book about the Medicis, which I may; however, I wanted to begin with something a little more modern.

Great pictures. Now I can really imagine you on those steps!

Joey suffered Kennel Cough this last week. Antibiotics great but seclusion from friends almost unbearable. Fall arrived with speed, a 30 degree temperature drop, and snow in the mountains. Rockies in the MLB playoffs. Neighbors invited me to a game.

Question:Why are your postings always in the middle of the night or is that email material?

  2. Hey mom, It is 8 hours earlier here so the time probably reflects that. I feel like I've posted at different times. Sorry to hear about Joey, you both must be dying. School starts tomorrow so I'll post about that tomorrow.
